You are a storyteller, and your voice is how the story is heard.
Free your body, get out of your head, release your breath, and discover your voice. You will warm your body with yoga asana (postures) to better connect to your instrument and ground you in the present moment.
You will then dig deep into warm-ups and vocal techniques of Dr. Iris MacGregor-Bannerman to strengthen, stretch, and expand your breathing and speaking capacities. This will lead to discovering YOUR optimum pitch, creating a fuller-sounding tone with resonance and power.
Develop deep breath awareness and supported, safe, emotional breathing. Set a practice to attain a strong and confident way of speaking. Kendra masterfully combines the teachings of Dr. MacGregor-Bannerman, her work with Speech-Language Pathologist Shelagh Davies (vocal health and safety) and her 500hr certification in Vinyasa and Hatha Yoga.
This class encourages the body to open, builds stronger connectivity with the breath, and enables each student to find the power of their voice.
